UT Dallas students supporting and connecting with residents of local nursing homes.

One Good Cookie is a student-led organization at UT Dallas. We raise support on campus, make things by hand, and show up for residents of local nursing homes.

Bake sales on campus help support our service projects, activities, and outreach.

Handwritten cards and notes, made together for residents.

Then we show up at local nursing homes and spend time with the residents there.
Small acts. Big impact.
Why nursing homes
Nursing-home residents are too often overlooked. Loneliness, staffing challenges, and limited resources can all weigh on quality of life, and most of it happens out of view.
We're students, not a policy fix. What we can bring is time, attention, and small things made by hand for residents who deserve more connection and care.

Packing care kits, decorating them with handwritten messages, and bringing them into local nursing homes. The Impact page walks through the whole process, start to finish.
